We find Eavan Maloney doing a crossfit training session, including hanging upside down and doing a series of pushups all while her sister, Vaily, is spotting her in case she falls. As Eavan finishes, Vaily tosses her a bottle of water and the two sit down on a bench together.
Vaily: Can I ask you a question?
Eavan: Shoot.
Vaily: How is it you have a tag team partner but yet you two never train together. I don’t think the two of you have ever had a conversation outside of the ring, have you?
Eavan turns to her sister with a look of being insulted.
Eavan: I’ll have you know Khloe and I are in constant contact. I train her. I motivate her. I was just with her yesterday in fact. You saw that match against that Synn chick, Khloe looked better than ever. She’s starting to understand all the work I’ve been putting in to help her out.
Vaily crosses her arms and shakes her head.
Vaily: Why do I have my doubts about this? Ever since the two of you formed this Jersey Devils team, you’ve treated her badly. She’s an expressive girl, and you won’t even let her hug you. And yet I see you around the school, getting hugs from everyone else.
Eavan: I do NOT get hugs from everyone.
Vaily: Bitch, you do too! And yet every time Khloe wants to hug you, you step back. You try to offer her a handshake.
Eavan bows her head and nods.
Eavan: She reminds me of Shay. Years back, she was dating a friend of mine, Synn. Well, Cynthia, who got herself into trouble. I had Rivers make Cynthia appear dead, leaving autopsy photos everywhere. Shay has no idea Cynthia is still alive. Shay built a new life but I still carry the guilt of lying to her. Every time I look at Khloe, I see Shay, and… I can’t. I do whatever I can from a distance but I can’t bring myself to step across that divide in my mind. Maybe someday, but not now.
Vaily steps back in amazement at what Eavan has told her.
Vaily: Who… exactly… are you?
Eavan: A sister, a wife, the woman who built the place we’re standing in, the head of a motorcycle club, a wrestler, a football player, the head of a record company, and a whole lot of other things that you will never… EVER… know about.
Vaily: You scare me, you know that?
Eavan picks up her towel and slaps her sister on her broad shoulders.
Eavan: As I should. We’ll talk later.

[Eavan is in a nondescript garage, leaning against a matte-black Harley Davidson motorcycle. Behind her are dozens of other Harleys, all stowed away for the winter season. Along the back wall of the garage hangs a single banner. A horned black dove superimposed over a viking shield. Between those matching emblems read the words The Devil’s Doves.]
Malvado Brothers, I’d say it’s a pleasure but we’re a few months too late for that I think. See, it would have been fun to have the very first Jersey Devils match be against the Duos champs but Lights Out already beat us to it. Though, it begs the question. How are you going to feel losing to yet another chick team, hmm?
Is THAT why you wear those masks? This way you can go out in public after the fact and nobody will know who you are? Poop, guys, masks or not, nobody knows who you are anyways. Nobody has ever seen one without the other. Or the rest of your family. Now, family’s important. I, more than anyone, understands that.
[Eavan motions behind her and shrugs.]
These bikes and that banner represent just a small fraction of my family. A very VERY small fraction of them, and yet, not a single one has come with me into Thunder Pro. And therein lies the biggest difference between us and you. You’re all joined like melted gummy bears while Khloe and I can stand on our own two feet. See, there’s a difference between a want and a need. You guys NEED one another to be successful. I WANTED Khloe from the minute I walked into this company because I saw potential in her. It took the two of us beating the holy hell out of one another to finally build that respect. And if Khloe and I could destroy one another like we did, what odds do the two of you have against us?
[Eavan gets up off her bike and starts pacing around the garage, chuckling to herself.]
So what was the game plan last Fury, because I kinda have to believe it didn’t go according to plan. Try to attack the alleged weaker one of us? Use the numbers game to your advantage? Now, despite nailing that double brainbuster on the chair, how did things fare for you? You all looked so confident until my music hit. And then you scattered like rats.
Why didn’t you stay and play with us, boys? You were all keen to play with Khloe, but not with me. Was it because mi polla is bigger than yours? Mine was big and metal. Yours?
[Eavan holds up a finger and a thumb with a very small gap between them.]
I can make jokes like this all day, but let’s be serious for a minute. We know how good you guys were. We know you’ve held gold and can respect you for who you had to beat to win them. Unfortunately for TPW, the Duos division was starting to look a little thin and it just so happened that two young and eager women were sick and tired of being overshadowed by all this Cabal Poop and watching three-hour J Mont show introductions that we decided to do something about it. We were sick and tired of feeling like we didn’t belong in TPW, that we were being overlooked and underappreciated. And, lo and behold, the Jersey Devils are formed and suddenly the SEX Cup is coming back and all these tag teams suddenly appeared. I don’t know about you, but the timing seems a bit suspicious. Maybe, just maybe, TPW came to realize the landscape changed.
[Eavan paces the garage again and comes to a picture of her and her ex-partner and current CEO of the Shieldmaidens, Alex “Bullet” Carbajal and puts her hand on the picture and whispers something incoherently to it before turning around to face the camera.]
