Note - updated as of 04/24 with some new bits for Alessia, as part of a general rework.
Team Name:
Lights Out
Team Members, Gender & Hometown:
Ava Arthur, F, Walsall, UK, aka the Black Country Bomber
Alessia Angelo, F, Birmingham, UK, aka the Gladiatrix.
Height/Weight/Combined Weight:
Ava Arthur: 5’4”, 110lbs
Alessia Angelo: 5’8”, 145lbs
Combined: 255lbs
Entrance Theme (single & double):
Birmingham (Anthem) - Lotto Boys and Jaykae. Used for both singles and doubles matches.
Entrance:
Duos: The lights in the arena dim - just a little, but enough to mark a change. A single spotlight on the stage picks out Ava and Alessia as they emerge from a blast of fog - Ava pounds her chest with a fist, Alessia cooly examines the ring. A moment’s pause, letting the air adjust… then, with a beat, they move forwards. They pace towards the ring, side by side - though not matching strides, they keep close. Ava is smiling (or smirking, it’s hard to tell), as she reaches up and hauls herself onto the apron. Alessia… just takes the steps. They take up positions in their corner, sharing a brief look to determine who opens - Alessia stretches, Ava shadowboxes quickly - then ready themselves for the bell.
Ava solo: TBC
Alessia solo: Darkness sweeps across the arena, except for a single rectangle of golden light picking out the stage. A couple of moments of silence... then to a cheer from the crowd, Alessia emerges from a blast of smoke, holding a sharp steel sword in one hand. She pauses for a second, looking around the crowd, kneels... then thrusts it into the stage and roars, leaping back to her feet, leaving the sword as she strides down the ramp. She takes the stairs up the ring, pausing to raise her arms to another cheer, then slips into the ring and stretches, ready for the bell.

Why They Wrestle:
As a team: they’ve had a strong bond ever since they met training as children. Ava respects Alessia’s skill, focus and drive, Alessia admires - but is perhaps a little frustrated by - Ava’s fire.
Ava Arthur: A fierce, almost masochistic desire for competition and triumph. As a heel it's about crushing everyone to dust in her path, as a face she cuts loose a little more, refuses to look like she's taking it seriously, but the same aggressive drive comes out in the ring.
Alessia Angelo: The same competitive instinct, but it’s much colder and tighter. As a heel, it's desire to prove superiority - whereas Ava wants to break you into pieces, Alessia wants to find your weak point, push just enough to break it, win, and move on. As a face, it's calm respect, occasionally edging into actually liking someone, but never letting that sentiment get in the way of winning.
Wrestling Style:
Ava Arthur: brawler/striker, all shins, knees and elbows. Nothing too fancy, but can break out a spin/high-flying strike occasionally.
Alessia Angelo - grappler. Holds, submissions and mat work a particular expertise.
Trademark/Common Team Moves:
Tag Team: tag-team clotheslines, throws into strikes, whipping towards each other for knockout blows (Ava) or momentum-twisting throws (Alessia).
Ava Arthur: elbow and knee strikes, gut kicks, very simple grips but nothing fancy. Will occasionally break out a flying move - a forearm smash off the ropes etc - but still focusing on impact rather than strength or throws. Doesn’t tend to cheat, but when weapons are available she enjoys the option of swinging a bat, a chair or a kendo stick where possible.
Alessia Angelo: simple takedowns like a German suplex, a rollup, a powerbomb (on smaller opponents) etc, nothing flashy like a hurricanrana - she can do it, but doesn’t really see the point of expending the extra energy unless she’s in the mood to embarrass you. On the mat, she particularly targets the limbs - armbars, leg locks, Boston Crabs. Chokes are rarer, but still in her arsenal.
Individual & Tag Finisher Setups w/Description:
Tag Team: If Ava’s in the ring, she’ll either stun the opponent with an elbow strike or distract them with yelling/abuse, allowing Alessia to sneak up behind. If Alessia is, she’ll wait for her opponent to throw a strike, then duck underneath and behind - as soon as Ava sees this, she’ll slip into the ring to setup. They try to keep it fairly surprising, and with their years of training together they can often predict when the other one’s going to start.
Ava Arthur: It’s situational, as she can deliver the Jawbreaker to most downed opponents. However, the trademark setup if they’re standing is to use an elbow strike to the head to drop them to their knees, before circling behind them and planting a kick in the small of their back to knock them onto their hands and knees. Vice versa, if they’re lying down, she hauls them up by the head, gripping their hair or mask or similar.
Alessia Angelo: Where possible, she avoids dropping her opponents into the position with strikes - instead favouring a simple takedown, most commonly an Irish Whip into an arm drag. She can also break it out as a reversal, and is infamous for reversing lariats and clotheslines into the hold.
Individual & Tag Finisher w/Description:
Tag Team: Hammer and Anvil. Alessia slips behind the opponent and throws them into a bridging suplex, holding them down just long enough for Ava to approach and deliver a knockout stomp to their face.
Ava Arthur: the Jawbreaker. A soccer kick strike, delivered to her opponent on their hands and knees. Unusually, she doesn’t incorporate a runup - instead just starting parallel, before whipping around and driving her shin into the side of her opponent’s head.
Alessia Angelo: the Execution. A crucifix armbar submission - locking her opponents’ arms wide. She’s cold, usually avoiding any taunts or screaming while she pulls the arm back, just gritting her teeth and pulling as hard as she can.
TPW Colour:
Couldn’t find a taken list, I'm currently rolling with 1979e6 for Alessia and 19e619 for Ava but ofc happy to change.
