On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate Fury: 9.5 Which was the best match: Brooke Blakely vs. Serena Riot Oh not my match, hmmm... Main Event, loved seeing Alice Knight in TPW ring.... not so much that she lost
What was the most exciting/fun point: Bane & Slater arriving to the ring via time machine/teleporter. (fun point) Seeing TLS at ringside (exciting)
What did you like the best about the show: All the segments sent in, lots of stories going on, very happy to see TPW so active.
What surprised you about the show: The Lost Soul being in attendance for the main event, was he here only for Fook and whatever or is he sticking around?
Best segment: Vaughn tearing down TPW sign.
Best commentary spot:
Hotcakes: This place is gonna go balistic if CJ tags in his Hooters girl,.
Markson: Alice Knight is a hall of famer, be respectful.
Hotckaes: Ok, this place is gonna go balistic if CJ tags in his Hooters WOMAN!
Best wrestling spot:
Clyde holds his hand out and Fred hops off the arpon. Clyde looks shocked as Fred stands on the outside looking at him. Clyde mouths “WHAT THE FRENCH TOAST!?!” while Fred gives him the hand gesture for “go fudge yourself”. Clyde looks absolutely shocked as he watches Fred walking up the entrance way to a round of boos.
Negative thoughts: Too many Duos matches... (hugs duos titles... my precious...) Personal comments: You're doing a fine job Eric, don't blow it. Suggestions: stop advertising other promotions during your commercials!
Which was the best match: Gangsters of Christ vs. Fook 'n Hoot was a lot of fun and I'm familiar with some of the handlers involved so it was exciting from that standpoint as well.
What was the most exciting/fun point: The confusion over who is the legal man during the Fred & Clyde match was fun. Most people who write tag matches don't care about who is legal or not.
What did you like the best about the show: The matches were well-written and easy to follow. Generally, the flow of the show remains a highlight. Everything is coded nicely and organized, making it fun to read. Friday Night Fury feels like a finisher and polished product rather than something cobbled together. That lends to the energy of the event as well.
What surprised you about the show: Brooke Blakely getting the win over Serena Riot. I was happy to see her nab the win and continue the Dream Weavers' momentum heading into the next event.
Best segment: The 999 segment. I'm a mark for what some might consider "dark and moody" created character segments and this one hit the right notes for me. I'm allowed to make this critique because my work with Junko is primarily dark and moody. Also, the Jonny C segment. Big Jonny C mark here.
Best commentary spot: "Maybe Alice Knight should use some of her mustard money to hire herself a bodyguard or manager." - Big Alice Knight mark from way back.
Best wrestling spot: "Riot flips her over right away, and now Brooke has a busted nose! The blood flows but Riot doesn’t care, and this time she hooks both legs for the pin!" - Feels like a real tragedy for a character of Brooke Blakely's nature to be gushing blood but it's a big match for her so it fits and adds to the drama.
Negative thoughts: Nothing jumped out at me as a negative.
Personal comments: I regret not submitting a segment for this one. Would have enjoyed taking part in this event somehow but that's on me. Great show all around and I'll definitely be on the next one.
Suggestions: I don't have any suggestions on how to improve what's already being done here. Thunderin' Terry produces a slick and easy to read show and that's about all you can ask for these days.
